Larry Johnson
Chairman of the Deacon Board
Deacon Larry Jonson is the Chairman of the Deacon Board at Otter Creek Community Church. He also serves on the Operations Team, Administration Team, and he sings in the Men’s Choir.
Larry has been married to his wife, Gail, for almost 30 years. Gail serves on the Care Committee, Kitchen Committee, and the Greeting Committee.
Eric Norris
Chair of Operations
Eric Norris is the Chair of Operations at Otter Creek Community Church. He also serves on the Audio/Video Ministry and the Kitchen Committee, and he sings in the Men’s Choir.
Eric has been married to his wife, Debra, for five years. Debra serves on the Care Committee and the Count Committee and teaches in Teen Church.
Together, they have three children: Brianna, a high school senior, and two young adults, Chasity and Kobe.
Eric also enjoys grilling and smoking food part-time for Smoke City BBQ.
Dr. Melinda Smith
Missions and Ministry Team Leader
Dr. Melinda Smith serves as the Mission and Ministry Team Leader. She has a heart for sharing the love and hope of Jesus Christ with the lost and hurting community. Melinda understands the necessity for brothers and sisters in Christ to grow in love, grace, knowledge, and purpose. She is the mother of an adventurous, young adult daughter, Alyssa.
Kelly Young
Director of Children's Church
Kelly Young was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a mother of 2 children, Jayce & Ja’Rayah. She enjoys helping others, loves to bowl, and enjoys spending time with her children. Kelly has served as the director of Children’s Church at Otter Creek Community Church for almost two years.
Millicent Milner
Secretary
Millicent is currently serving as the Church Secretary and New Members Coordinator. She enjoys helping others and traveling with family and friends. She has one son, an active 14 year competitive swimmer and a 12 year old dog.
Andrea Allen
Marriage/Life Lessons Ministry Leader
Andrea Allen has served in ministry over 14 years. Within her time, 2 were spent as a New Member's Ministry Leader, 12+ years have been spent mentoring and teaching. She currently serves as a Young Adult Ministry Leader, Marriage & Relationship Ministry Leader, and Youth Teacher.
David "Chef" Whitaker
Kitchen Ministry Leader
David Whitaker aka Chef Jay has been married to his wife, Nedra, for 5 years. All together they have 4 kids, 3 boys and one girl. Jayden, Davies, Darius, and Aubriella. Chef has been cooking for over 33 years and has been doing martial arts for over 38 years. He loves the word of God and loves teaching as he cooks. My wife loves to sing and care for others and loves spending time with family. One of his favorite sayings is “I am my brother's keeper”.
Celeste Watson
Young Adult Ministry Leader
Celeste Watson is a greeter, a lead teacher in the Young Adult Ministry, and a member of the Mission & Ministry Team at Otter Creek Community Church. She has been newly married to her husband, Seymuell, since February 2023. They are a blended family with a total of eight children combined, with the youngest child being their own.
Celeste has a passion for God's Word and a servant heart for His people. She loves traveling and spending time with family and friends
Carol Tyler
Teen Church Ministry Leader
Carolyn Tyler, LMSW is a Licensed Masters Social Worker with over 25 years experience in healthcare and Human Services. She is also a therapeutic Foster parent and has fostered almost 100 children over the past 36 years. She is a native of Cotton Plant, Arkansas. She is married to John Tyler and they are parents to four biological adult children and Five grandchildren. They have many surrogate children and grandchildren from their past years of fostering. Carolyn has spent the past 25 years working in church ministry, serving and ministering to youth Sunday School, Teen Church ministry, Assistant Director for Biblical Care and Lay Counseling ministry. Carolyn has a passion to empower and equip youths with basic biblical principles that will help them to make better life choices and enhance their opportunity for a more healthy Christian lifestyle
Tia Goins
Outreach Coordinator/Website Administrator
Tia is currently serving as the Outreach Coordinator and Website Administrator. She is happily married to her husband, Marcelle Goins. They have one daughter, Makenzie. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
