Mission

Our mission in the Youth Ministry at Otter Creek Community is to prepare parents and volunteers to meet children where they are in their spiritual journey and guide them to higher levels of faith, understanding, and commitment.

Vision

Our vision is to develop and sustain a youth ministry that will encourage our children to be enthusiastic about their faith. Through classroom lessons, group gatherings, and extra-curricular activities, we will strive to bridge the gap between our youth and our church.

Curriculum

Our curriculum shows God's plan of redemption through chronological Bible studies. Our children learn from hands on experiences in a comfortable, kid-friendly atmosphere. Join our journey and register your children in our Children's Church!

Classes We Offer

Sunday School - Every Sunday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Children who can read and/or write are encouraged to attend. A nursery class will be available for the younger children.

Children's Church - Every Sunday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm (or end of service).  The first Sunday in August of every year is when the children will be promoted to the next class (if applicable). The classes are divided as followed:

  • Nursery (0 to 2 years old)

  • Preschool (3 years old to Kindergartners)

  • School Aged (First grade to third grade)

  • Pre-Teens (Fourth grade to sixth grade)

After the sixth grade, children will graduate to the teenage program.

Wednesday Night Bible Study - Every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Children who are able to read and/or write are encouraged to attend. A Nursery class will be available for the younger children.

Registration

All children who will come to the Children's Church on a regular basis will have to be registered.

Parents will fill out the registration form and include emergency contacts and allergies.

Visiting children will fill out a quick form at check-in to disclose any important information about the child and report allergies.

The Security and Safety Policy can be viewed here.

The Youth Ministry will occasionally host special events for the children throughout the year. Events will be added to the Church Calendar.

Parents will receive a handbook upon registering their child for Children's Church outlining the classroom schedule and procedures, discipline, security, and other policies.
